Goalkeeper ,Stanley Nwabali, along with Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, are the latest players to join the Super Eagles training camp in Uyo ahead of crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
AC Milan winger , Samuel Chukwueze has also arrived in Uyo, quelling injury concerns. He was left out of AC Milan’s friendly against AS Roma to recover from a muscle issue.
Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of the qualifiers due to injury, while Bayer Leverkusen’s Nathan Tella has requested to be excluded.
Turkey-based players, Fisayo Dele Bashiru and Ibrahim Olawoyin have also reported to camp.
Early arrivals in Uyo included home-based players Olorunleke Ojo, Sodiq Ismail, and Kenneth Igboke, as well as Tanzania-based defender Benjamin Tanimu.
Nigeria will host South Africa in Uyo on Friday, June 7, before traveling to Cote d’Ivoire three days later to face Benin in a second World Cup qualifier.
