Port-Harcourt-based club, Rivers Angels have stormed into the semi-finals of this year’s President Federation Cup defeating Osun Babes 5-0 in Enugu on Wednesday.
Naija Ratels of Abuja also secured a semi-final spot after a thrilling 5-4 penalty shootout victory over FC Robo Queens of Lagos after a 1-1 draw at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Delta Queens triumphed over Sunshine Queens from Akure with a 2-0 win at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. In another match in Benin City, Remo Stars Ladies continued their impressive run in this year’s competition, defeating Nasarawa Amazons 3-2 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
The men’s semi-finalists will be decided today as Abia Warriors face Kano Pillars at the Lafia City Stadium, while Kebbi United will take on El-Kanemi Warriors at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project in Abuja. Both matches will begin at 4 pm.
