Real Madrid Forward, Brahim Diaz has been called up to the Morocco National Team for International friendlies against Angola and Mauritania.

In a statement released by the Morocco Football Federation, Diaz was included in Coach Walid Regragui’s 24-man roster for the matches against Angola and Mauritania scheduled for March 22nd and 26th respectively. The 24-year-old Real Madrid Player represented Spain in one game and scored against Lithuania in 2021.

Diaz has qualified to represent the North African team in the world through his Moroccan Father. FIFA rules say players can switch international allegiance when they have made fewer than three appearances for a country before the age of 21 and also should not have played for that nation for at least three years.

The former AC Milan player has produced wonderful displays for Real Madrid this season, having scored eight goals in 32 games across all competitions including decisive goals against Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League respectively. Notable players included in the list are PSG Defender, Achraf Hakimi, Manchester United Midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat and Galatasaray player, Hakim Ziyech.
