Six Nigerian Athletes are set to compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships scheduled to be held in Glasgow from March 1st to March 3rd, 2024.
The athletes include Ese Brume, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, Dubem Nwachukwu, Edose Ibadin, Sikiru Adeyemi and Chidi Okezie. Commonwealth Gold Medalist, Brume who is the only female athlete in the Nigerian contingent will feature in the Long Jump Event.

The quartet of Chidi Okezie, Sikiru Adeyemi, Dubem Nwachukwu, and Edose Ibadin, will team up in the men’s 4x400m relay. Nwachukwu and Ibadin will also compete in the Men’s 400 and 800 meters respectively. Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, who recently set an African Indoor record in Shot Put completes the six athletes who will be competing for glory in Scotland.

Twenty reigning world champions and seven gold medallists from the Tokyo Olympics are among the entries for the Glasgow events with the final entry lists confirming that 651 athletes from 133 teams have been entered for the global event. The entries consist of 331 females and 320 males.

According to the World Athletics, official start lists will be available after the technical meeting on February 29th, 2024 in Glasgow.
