Tragedy struck in Firgi community, Pulka Ward of Borno State, as eleven farmers lost their lives when the open-body vehicle transporting them to their farmlands detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The explosive device, suspected to be planted by Boko Haram terrorists, was positioned on the main road shoulder.

The blast not only claimed the lives of the farmers but also resulted in the death of two individuals on bicycles.
The driver of the vehicle sustained severe injuries, leaving him in critical condition.
The incident occurred on Monday morning, and it follows closely after the recent IED attack that claimed the lives of six pupils at the Tsangaya Quranic Centre in Gubio town just two days prior.
