On the social networking platform X, several Nigerians have expressed their displeasure on the recent attacks in Plateau State where over hundred locals were killed by unknown assailants.
It was learned that the most recent onslaught took place early on Monday morning in the NTV village close to the state’s Bokkos Local Government Area.
AAN Television had reported on Sunday that about 70 persons were killed in Mushu village in Bokkos LGA. The spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, Captain Oya James, confirmed the incident to reporters, saying the attack took place on Saturday night while residents of the community were asleep.

One X user, @IdrisAOni1, tweeted, “Those who are killing people in Plateau State, Nigeria must be stopped and punished. It was in that same State that killings have been going on for decades now. It was also in the State that people were killed, roasted and eaten.”
“Guys, I kid you not, this is the Governor of Plateau state where over 100 Nigerians were murdered, and many more wounded by terrorist killer herdsmen
The lives of his citizens don’t seem important enough to make it to his twitter page as at this time,” @SamdGreat01 tweeted.
Another X user @pyjama_ceo said: “This Plateau state massacre is sickening.
What needs to happen to the perpetrators needs to be decisive and equally brutal.
I kind of like (not really) that Israel has led the way in substituting revenge for justice. I think it’s time for same in Nigeria.”
Nigerian rapper, @MI_Abaga, stated, “Heartbroken to hear the news from plateau state Rip to the innocent souls lost.”
Another X user, @Sports_Doctor2, tweeted, “The amount of bloodshed that keeps pouring out of Plateau State and everywhere is just quiet is heartbreaking!!!! What’s the value of one Nigerian life??? Imagine wiping out an entire village and there’s no outrage, nothing, everywhere calm.”
It is imperative to mention that Amnesty International reported late on Sunday that the Death toll from the deadly Christmas attack on 20 communities in Plateau state has risen to over 140.
This is shortly after AAN television reported a surge in the fatalities to over 113.
