The Third Mainland Bridge will undergo a complete 24-hour closure to facilitate a crucial phase of ongoing repair projects, as announced by the Federal Ministry of Works.
Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, stated that both carriageways will be closed from 12 noon on Wednesday, February 28, to 12 noon on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Road users are advised to utilise alternative routes provided during this period, with reassurance from Osiyemi that traffic management officials will be present to minimise inconveniences.
The bridge has experienced partial closures for repair works since January, impacting both inbound and outbound traffic.
