The autopsy report on the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, has been released.
The autopsy conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), involved retrieving samples of MohBad’s gastric content, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lung for toxicology testing.
The anatomical and pathological findings noted an injury on MohBad’s right forearm, and the body was exhumed with moderate to severe decomposition. The autopsy revealed no significant gross findings that could directly attribute to the singer’s death.
The toxicology report detected the presence of Diphenhydramine, an anti-histamine, but the concentration was not within a fatal or lethal range. The report suggested a possibility of a drug reaction or anaphylactic shock. It also mentioned that the body was not embalmed before burial and was exhumed eight days post-burial, potentially affecting the toxicology results.
Anti-histamines, used to treat allergy symptoms and various other conditions like stomach problems, colds, and anxiety, were found in MohBad’s system. However, the report concluded that the cause of death could not be definitively determined, though a drug reaction could be considered given the lack of significant post-mortem and toxicology findings.
Key excerpts from the report include:
- The body was neither autopsied nor embalmed before interment on the second day.
- The body was exhumed on 21/09/2023, eight days after burial.
- Autopsy showed moderate to marked decomposition of organs. Apart from the superficial injury on the right forearm, no significant gross findings could be attributed to death.
- Samples were taken for toxicology to check for anaphylactic reaction, substances of abuse, overdosage, or common household poisoning.
- Toxicology revealed positive findings of Diphenhydramine, but not in a fatal range, with other analytics being unremarkable.
- Determining fatal anaphylactic shock requires a quick blood sample, which was made impossible due to the early burial.
In light of these findings, the exact cause of MohBad’s death remains uncertain, though a fatal anaphylactic shock (drug reaction) is a possible consideration given the lack of significant post-mortem and toxicology findings.
