A devastating gas explosion erupted in the Tejuosho NTA 10 area of Lagos State on Wednesday, unleashing a fierce fire that obliterated over 300 wooden shanties and threatened the local community’s safety.
The inferno, which originated from a gas leak, quickly spread, reaching the nearby Saint Heritage Children School on Adedapo Street, off Aralile Street in Surulere.
The school sustained significant damage, causing alarm among parents and residents alike.
Residents and business owners in the area are grappling with the severe loss of property and disruption to their livelihoods. “A gas explosion occurred at Tejuosho NTA Channel 10 axis, razing over 300 shanties. Residents and business owners are counting their losses,” reported NTA, underscoring the widespread impact of the disaster.
Amidst the chaos, an eyewitness known as Mic on TV urgently called for help, stating, “We need emergency response at Adedapo Street, off Aralile Street, Surulere.
