The highly-debated 0.5% cybersecurity levy on electronic banking transactions has been temporarily halted by the Federal Government.
This decision was made after President Bola Tinubu instructed the suspension, following discussions among members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
The announcement was made by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, at the State House in Abuja following the FEC meeting on Tuesday.
