Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt triumphed over Naija Ratels with a 1-0 victory in the President Federation Cup final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday.
The win marks the ninth time the club will be winning the title.
The decisive moment came in first-half stoppage time when Blessing Okpe scored from the penalty spot after Naija Ratels’ defender, Adebayo Jumai, handled the ball inside the box.
Okpe stepped up and converted the penalty which beat goalkeeper, Faith Omilani. Despite Naija Ratels’ efforts to find an equalizer, they were unable to break through.
Omilani made several saves for the Naija Ratels to keep the score at one nil.
