Kenya is currently the host of a significant regional summit aimed at advancing girls’ education across East Africa.
The summit’s primary objective is to confront and reshape societal attitudes and practices that have historically restricted certain girls from accessing mainstream education, employing culturally appropriate strategies.
Over 100 stakeholders from Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya will convene for a three-day conference beginning in Nairobi on Tuesday.
A critical area of discussion will center around enhancing support structures for vulnerable groups of girls, encompassing pregnant girls, teenage mothers, and girls living with disabilities.
