The Super Falcons will depart Nigeria on Sunday night in preparation for Tuesday’s second leg of the final round of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifier.
The Nine-Time African Champions defeated Banyana Banyana of SouthAfrica on Friday evening , thanks to a penalty converted by the Skipper of the SuperFalcons, Rasheedat Ajibade at the MKO Abiola National Stadium.
In the second half, an excellent pass from SouthAfrica Playmaker, Thembi Kgatlana allowed Jermain Seoposenwe to shoot from 20 yards out, with Nigerian goalkeeper ,Chiamaka Nnadozie making a wonderful save.
According to a statement from the NFF, the Super Falcons will jet out of the country on Sunday night for the return leg of their Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa.
Since the Falcons are just 1-0 ahead on aggregate, there is still a lot to play for in Tuesday’s return leg at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
