Anthony Joshua has defeated Cameroonian, Francis Ngannou in Second Round to win his fourth straight fight in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Joshua who had earlier won three bouts in 2023, defeated Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin. He has now secured knockout wins over two fighters who fought Tyson Fury the distance in Wallin and Ngannou. It would be recalled that Ngannou shocked fans when he knocked Fury down in their bout in October 2023 before Fury eventually won the bout on Split Decision.
In the post-match conference, Joshua expressed readiness to face the winner of Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk for a chance back at the world heavyweight titles in May 2024. He also revealed that”I thought this fight was something for the broadcasters to get behind.”When I saw the fight with Tyson Fury, I thought, I want some of that. He is a great champion and this doesn’t take anything away from his capabilities. ” “I told Ngannou not to leave Boxing. He is two fights in and he fought the best”.
