Dr. Chika Olijo, a Nigerian-Canadian medical professional, has been awarded the prestigious George Frieur Award for her exceptional performance during her residency at the University of Calgary Cummings School of Post-Graduate Medical Education in Alberta, Canada.
The award, presented by the Department of Pediatrics at a special ceremony, recognizes Dr. Olijo’s outstanding clinical competency and her compassionate patient care approach towards both patients and their families.
In addition to the George Frieur Award, Dr. Chika Olijo was also commended for her professionalism, neatness, and dedicated service throughout her residency.
Dr. Olijo, a graduate of the University of Nigeria and a certified paediatrician in Canada, previously completed her residency at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and gained valuable experience at Macclesfield General Hospital in the United Kingdom.
She is married to Dr. Innocent Olijo and is a proud mother of four children.
