The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) has busted a styrofoam warehouse at Ojuwoye market in the Mushin area of the state.
According to a post by the commissioner of environment and water resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Tuesday, July 2, the owner of the warehouse brought the banned styrofoam to the market in the early hours of Tuesday.
Wahab wrote: “Based on intelligence gathering, the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) #lagescofficial discovered a styrofoam warehouse at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin.
“The owner brought in the banned styrofoam to market in the early hours of today.
“The products have been confiscated and taken to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration.
“The Lagos state government #followlasg is reiterating its commitment to ensuring a healthy, cleaner, and safer environment for all Lagosians.”
