The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) organised a National Prayer on Saturday for the nation, President Bola Tinubu, and other Nigerian leaders.
The prayer session took place in one of NAHCON’s tents at the plains of Mount Arafat on the Day of Arafat, the pinnacle of the Hajj rites, just a day before Eid-el-Kabir, commencing precisely at 3 PM.
In his opening remarks, NAHCON Chairman/CEO Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi expressed deep gratitude to Allah for allowing those present to partake in the Hajj rites and the National Prayer at Mount Arafat.
He encouraged stakeholders to continue collaborating with NAHCON by providing valuable suggestions and engaging in activities that benefit Nigerian pilgrims.
Various selected Ulamas offered supplications in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulfulde, Kanuri, and others.
The prayers focused on restoring peace and security in Nigeria, seeking an end to kidnapping, banditry, and other violent crimes. Additionally, they prayed for Allah’s guidance for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other national and local leaders to steer the country towards stability and prosperity.
